The Cottage is located in the lakeside village of Garrykennedy in County Tipperary - in the southwest quadrant of Ireland. It's a great central base for touring Ireland. You can visit all the top tourist attractions while based here. The Cottage is located in an area of great natural beauty, surrounded by lakes and mountains. Rich in history and tradition. Renowned for its culture, music and food. The cottage is in the middle of this pretty village - directly in front of the lake (Lough Derg). The local restaurants, 2 pubs with traditional music, the lake, marina and harbor are all less than 100 yards walk from the cottage.

Nearest International Airports
Shannon International Airport is only 35 miles (40 mins on M7 motorway) from the cottage. Dublin International Airport is approx 100 miles (1.5 hours on M7 motorway) from the cottage. Both are served by American Airlines, Detla, Continental, US Airways, Aer Lingus and other airlines. We provide detailed driving directions to get you from the airport to the Cottage. Its all easy motorway driving to Exit 26 off the M7 motorway (6 miles from the cottage).
Ground Transportation
We suggest that you book a rental car for your vacation in Ireland. Garrykennedy Cottage is in a rural village location and public transportation is limited. Taxi service to and from Shannon airport can be arranged. Bus service is available from Dublin Airport to the town of Nenagh (6 miles from the cottage).
